Only 11 days left until the Governments new National Living Allowance is introduced for the 25’s.
Every October the national minimum wage rises but as of April this year they are introducing “The National Living Wage” for over 25 year olds which will be £7.20 an hour, eventually rising to £9.00 by 2020. It’s a little confusing as there will be two rises throughout the year instead of the usual October increase.
- April 2016: The National Living Wage of £7.20 for over 25’s
- October 2016: National Minimum wage increase for 18 to 21 year olds and under 18’s
This is an exciting time for our temps as they receive a higher salary for the hard work they continue to do and our clients will receive more commitment which will reduce staff turnover.
